	This website has been produced by Fiona and John Jaap, of Kirkintilloch in Scotland. John began researching the family tree in the early 1980s, using handwritten pieces of paper sellotaped together, which stretched all the way from the front door down to the end of the hall. In 1999, his daughter Fiona arrived at the house one day with a computer, and before long he was immersed in the world of email and the internet. Publishing the tree online using the WorldConnect genealogy pages at www.rootsweb.com opened up a new world of Jaaps for us.
